Where you have the washer and dryer, and storage area. It is also located in one of the beautiful development in Dover. Our place is close to restaurants, family-friendly activities, Dover AFB and art and culture. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). All decor and furnishings were recently updated and all in great condition. You can relax in the large fenced in backyard and enjoy the horseshoe pit to pass the time. Quiet neighborhood with large farm across the street. You can reach us by phone if you need anything. When facing our home, the neighbors to the left are very helpful, friendly and eager to help with any questions as well. We have been friends for over 30 years. We are 5-10 minutes from Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge and Dover Downs International Speedway and Casino. 10-15 minutes from Dover Air Force Base. We are 50 miles from DE beaches. We have high speed internet through Verizon Fios with 140+ TV channels. No public transportation nearby but plenty of parking. We use Uber if heading to the casino or local night spots so we have a designated driver. House Rules and Helpful Hints 1. First and Foremost, WELCOME AND ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!!!! 2. Check In: 4pm Check Out: 11am (we will do our best to offer late check out or early check in, just ask) 3. Small manual thermostats in each room are not operational. The digital thermostat in the hallway will control heat/ac for the entire house. 4. Please no shoes in the house, we think dirt prefers to be outside and some guests have allergies so we try to be sensitive ? 5. In the hallway closet you will find fresh towels, extra paper towels and toilet paper. Also some extra toiletries and Band-Aids. 6. Washer and dryer in Laundry room, help yourself to detergent and dryer sheets. Please clean dryer vent when finished. 7. Ice and water can be accessed through the refrigerator door. 8. Enjoy complimentary coffee and creamers. 9. Coffee maker in kitchen with coffee in the freezer. (creamers in fridge and sugars near the coffee maker) 10. When sitting on the front porch, the scenery is open to the field of hay growing for harvest season. One of our favorite places to be is in the three season Florida room in the back of the house. Enjoy a game of pool with our King Charles pool table on the first floor. This is our home and we cherish it. We love to share it with you. Guest access The main floor and top floor of the Farmhouse are available to guests as well as the three season Florida room. The property directly around the house is to be used by the guests only. Please do not go in the basement. Children should be supervised! Outside cameras are mounted on the outside front door, outside kitchen door and outside Florida room screen door. No other cameras are on the property. Interaction with guests Please contact us for any help needed and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will not greet you at the house. You will need to let yourselves in with a realtor lockbox using a code provided to you. Other things to note Bedrooms are on second floor. Visitors to Wyatt Farmhouse will need to have their own vehicles. Visitors must bring their own food. This beautiful 6 bedroom house perches on an acre of land right on a private beach. The property is between the Delaware Bay and a the wetlands of a huge nature preserve. Every room has large windows with gorgeous views of the bay and/or the wetlands so you can see the sunrise and the sunset. The majority of the house is only 8 years old and is built to comfortably accommodate a large group. Every room has its own heating and air conditioning unit which can be individually controlled, so that everyone is comfortable. There is a large great room and a huge family room where people can meet together, but there are also plenty of private nooks where they can be alone. There are 2 full kitchens, 3 full bathrooms, a pool with a deck and a balcony for enjoying the sunrise over the water. The first floor of the house has a huge, open plan living/dining/kitchen area with beautiful views, stone floor, exposed beam wood ceiling. A balcony off the living area overlooks the beach and bay. An adjoining loft bedroom with 2 boat beds and a queen bed has a cool play/sitting area. A wheelchair ramp gives easy access from the driveway to the first floor. The triple wide, 12 car driveway doubles as a volleyball and badminton court. When you walk up the steps to the top of the dune in front of the house you are on your own private beach with boating, playing in the sand, fishing, swimming (at high tide), miles of walking, and amazing sights of sea life including dolphins passing by. If you prefer to swim in the ocean the resort beaches are about 45 minutes south. This is a nature lovers and birders paradise, with many species of sea, land, and wetland birds observable right from your living areas. Recent guests counted 59 species at Big Stone Beach. Horse shoe crabs and other sea creatures breed in the Delaware Bay, so you will see plenty of crabs on the beach in the end of May and June. This 3 Br/2 Ba 70's style home is spacious, and chic with comfort in mind in everyway. This home has all the modern comforts with a retro twist to it. 1/2 mile to route 1, and right next to Bay Health Hospital. The house sits on 2 acres, with a fenced doggy play ground in the back yard and a 2 car garage and every room has its own temperature control. After every guest stays with us we do a complete cleaning with a virus/germ killing cold fogger machine, you can feel safe staying here. The space This well maintained home was built in 1976, the home as been renovated, but the 70's vibe still exist through out. The rooms are spacious but cozy, with wireless internet and cable. The office space serves as a private bedroom and a den area with fireplace. Not to mention the excellent laundry room with everything you need, plus the coffee and tea bar in the kitchen. We don't have breakfast but you can enjoy the some coffee with our Kurig coffee maker or pick your favorite tea. There are TV's in all the bedroom area's and in the living room. Your dog can enjoy being outside in a safe fenced area location in the back yard. The house sits away from the street, so noise is minimal.

Fido can accompany you on your beach walks everywhere you go! You can also ride bicycles for miles on flat, almost deserted roads with beautiful rural scenery. You can walk for miles on the beach south - all the way to Lewes! You have the beach virtually to yourself - sea shells are plentiful in addition to sea life and shore birds. We are a horseshoe crab sanctuary as well - they lay eggs on the beach in mid-May of each year. We are a bird watchers dream! The beach directly in front of the home is NOT a groomed beach and at certain times of the year it has a muddy or rocky bottom (depending on what is happening in the Susquehanna River far north of us) so swimming is not ideal. The tide does go very far out at certain moon cycles and you can walk all the way to the Jetty at the mouth of the Mispillion River and dig for whelks. We do recommend swimming at the Slaughter Beach pavilion (just a short distance down the road) or at Lewes beach or any of the ocean beaches in Rehoboth or Dewey which are less than 30 minutes away. This location is ideal for kayaking, sailing and canoeing. You can put any small self-carry boat directly in the water in front of the house, or launch any larger boat at the public launch a short distance away. Slaughter Beach is approximately 15 minutes from Dogfish Head Brewery, 20 minutes north of Lewes, DE and 25 minutes north of Rehoboth Beach, DE and 30 minutes South of Dover, DE.
